There’s no need to cover your ears – after all, the ROARING CATS are currently one of the most promising swing and hot jazz bands on the European music scene. This small yet mighty orchestra from Amsterdam has set itself the task of tracing the roots of jazz and enhancing them with new meaning.
This smooth troupe’s repertoire includes legendary original arrangements of the best pieces by unforgotten artists from the 1930s and 1940s: the gentlemen – who are rarely seen without a suit and tie – pay tribute to jazz legends such as Fats Waller, Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington and Jimmie Lunceford in their own special way.
In Lech, the Roaring Cats will also perform stylish original compositions that will appeal to both hyperactive swing dancers and non-dancing factions alike – will you opt to listen to these cats sitting down with a glass or two in hand or tap your feet along to the groove?
