The Buntspecht concert will take place in the restaurant facilities of the Gampen Restaurant!

Darkly romantic, insanely intense, radically wild yet sincerely beautiful. These are the sounds thrust upon audiences by Vienna-based band BUNTSPECHT, who released their fifth album in November 2023, which not only stands out because of its highly unconventional title. The work – “An das Gestern, das nie Morgen darfte werden. Ich warte” (To the yesterday that was never allowed to become tomorrow. I wait) – is bursting with anarchic, insane pop that defies convention, instead conjuring up the power of analogue spaces and the radiance of the collective.

After all, the group – which was founded in 2016 and enjoyed a surprise hit with the powerful piano ballad “Unter den Masken” (Behind the masks) that was streamed millions of times during the pandemic – is not only a band that loves to perform, but also an intensely committed bunch of friends who are less alone together.

The energetic quintet will not only fill the Tanzcafé Arlberg with their magically indulgent indie chamber pop album, but will of course also play pieces from their multi-layered repertoire that couldn’t be more colourful. After all, the world is already grey enough.
